Le Schreckhorn (4 078 m) est une montagne des Alpes bernoises. C'est le plus haut sommet situé entièrement dans le canton de Berne. Le Schreckhorn est le quatre-mille alpin le plus septentrional et le sommet de plus de 4 000 mètres le plus septentrional d'Europe. The Schreckhorn (4,078 m) is a mountain in the Bernese Alps. It is the highest peak located entirely in the canton of Berne. The Schreckhorn is the northernmost Alpine four-thousander and the northernmost summit rising above 4,000 metres in Europe.

Near Dreki hut at the foot of Askja volcano in the middle of the Icelandic highland desert (the light coloured stuff is pumice from the 1875 Askja eruption). It's always fun to come across such signposts seemingly in the middle of nowhere! For the 125km to Nýidalur you would probably need at least 6-7 hours in a 4x4 with high clearance as this F-road goes through lava fields and various fords.
