සීගිරිය சிகிரியா There are three types of gardens in Sigiriya complex: Water, Boulder and Terraced Gardens. They all spread on the plain beneath the huge Rock of the Lion in a myriad of green combined with the stone works of the ancient palace complex. A whole morning in this place is a unique experience.

සීගිරිය சிகிரியா The Gardens are part of a developed hydraulic complex that includes aqueducts used to capture water for agricultural purposes. An exquisite achievement, started in the 5th century under king Kashyapa.

පොළොන්නරුව பொலநறுவை - Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka, after Anuradhapura. King Parakramabahu I conceived most part of its monumental buildings (12th century).
