The Sunday Challenge (TSC): beverage/s, drink/s A glass of Pisco sour in front of yellow-green curtains, edited in Lightroom and tweaked with Color Efex Pro (Inset photo shows the ingredients used) Pisco sour is the most popular cocktail in Chile and Peru- as to who "owns" it there have always been discussions and lawsuits. It is made of Pisco (a brandy distilled from grapes), lemon or lime, sugar syrup, ice and fresh egg white. The latter is sometimes omitted as I did here (not trusting fresh eggs in the current heat), though without egg white you don't get the lovely froth. Sometimes Pisco sour is topped by a dash of Angostura ar a sprinkling of cinnamon. Recipes vary from 3 parts Pisco with 1 part lemon/ 1 part sugar to 1 part of everything, depending on how strong the Pisco is. Peruvian is said to be milder than Chilean which packs quite a punch;-)

The Sunday Challenge (TSC): pick yourself a challenge that hasn't been ticked or registered as done I chose "Look out a window of your home and take a photo of the view" (Angelica Paez). Taken out of my living room window, one of the ladies on the facade was illuminated by evening light. Actually I took the photo first and then looked for a challenge idea that fitted the photo;-)

The Sunday Challenge (TSC): Maximalism Maximalism as antithesis to minimalism- more is more instead of less is more. I can relate to that as my bookshelves groan;-) Collage made of several single shots, then edited in 4 different ways and made into a collage again. Inset the original collage edited in an analogue Kodachrome look. Original size added as second PiP!

Saturday Self-Challenge: Since we received the bombshell news that ipernity will be closing at the end of next month, how about we interpret our reactions and feelings about it through photography? After the first shock has worn off I decided to escape into Christmas preparations- after all, it's that time of the year and it's good to think of something else, read a good book, buy presents, decorate, drink Glühwein.... Maybe now there's a little glimmer of hope that a white knight will buy Ipernity - and if not there's the hope that many of the community will gather again on the "dark side". For anyone wondering what this is- have a look at the inset photo...

Saturday Self Challenge: Holiday food - includes candies, baked goods, beverages, just anything that relates to this holiday season wherever you are. An assortment of traditional Swabian Christmas cookies. These I bought at our neighbourhood bakery, they are hand made and taste (nearly) as good as home made. I didn't get around to making my own this year, it's a lot of fiddly work;-) Schwäbische Gutsle von einem der besten Bäcker in Stuttgart- war dieses Jahr zu faul zum Backen und die sind fast genau so gut: Zimtsterne, Zedernbrot, Bärentatzen, Haselnussmakronen, Butter-S, Terrassenbrötle, Vanillekipferl....
