Reindeer in Lyfjorddalen, Kvaløya. In this valley there usually is a herd even in winter. When this was taken there was so little snow that they had no problems grazing.

Looking back into Gisund with the sun already rather low at 1 p.m. Official sunset time was 3 p.m. but the sun disappeared earlier because of the mountains.

Bergsfjorden on the west coast of Senja seen from one of the spectacular viewpoints of "Nasjonale Turistveger". Senja is Norway's second largest island with an area of 1 589,35 km² and lies 350km north of the Polar circle. Oktobernachmittag am Hafen von Skaland. Die Berge im Hintergrund erheben sich am Ende des Bergsfjorden, eines 15 km langen Fjords im Westen der Insel Senja.
