Skarðsviti on Vatnsnes peninsula
This lighthouse from 1950 is 14m high and looks over Miðfjörður (Húnaflói) towards Vestfirðir. Vatnsnes peninsula lies on an old rift zone which has become inactive 5 mio years ago.
Hvalnesviti
11,5m high Hvalnes Lighthouse was built in 1954 and has been in operation since 1955. It stands on the cape below Eystrahorn, to the west are Lón lagoon and Vestrahorn.
Castle Breakwater Lighthouse
The lighthouse at the end of Castle breakwater marks the entrance to St. Peter Port harbour/ Guernsey. Evening is a busy time- the fast catamaran is leaving for Britain, the Sark boat and in the distance the Herm boat are heading into harbour.

Sark Lighthouse
Built in 1913, Sark Lighthouse stands on Point Robert with its light 65m above sealevel. Sark is a rocky island with no proper natural harbour, passenger boats use tiny Maseline harbour with its rock tunnel leading to the road/path up Harbour Hill.

Akaroa Lighthouse
This historic wooden lighthouse used to be on Akaroa Head from 1880 to 1977. In 1980 it was moved to its present location in Akaroa township by the Akaroa Lighthouse Preservation Society.
