Bethel church- Sisimiut

Bethel church- Sisimiut
Greenlands oldest surviving church was built in Denmark, where it was disassembled, all the parts numbered and then shipped to Holsteinsborg (now Sisimiut). There it was reassembled and consecrated in 1775. The church was paid for with 60 barrels of whale blubber.

Besten Dank, Angelika! Solche haben die Dänen im 18. Jh in ganz Grönland gebaut, die kamen wahrscheinlich als Bausatz per Schiff:-)
