Die Strasse ist aber sehr gut, die scheint neu. Ich bin auch ein Stück gefahren, von Lima bis am Anfang der Strasse herauf nach Arequipa.Da wird es dann gefährlich.Ich hab nie so viel Angst gehabt wie dort, und zum Glück war es Nacht, so konnte man nicht so viel sehen :-)

Danke, Dany! Ja, da war ziemlich neu gemacht! Die Strasse hoch in die Anden müssen sie nach jedem Winter wieder ausbessern...
Das glaube ich dir sofort, dass du Angst hattest! Mein Patenkind ist in der Regenzeit mit dem Bus vom bolivianischen Tiefland ins Hochland gefahren und es gab Erdrutsche. Die ist zurück dann geflogen, obwohl sie das Geld eigentlich nicht hatte;-)

Herzlichen Dank, Heidi! Hier hatte sich der Nebel schon verzogen, in Iquique war's aber auch hübsch steingrau. Das wirkt dann doch etwas trist und war ein Grund, weshalb mir Arica besser gefallen hat als Iquique;-)

Besten Dank, Gabi! In Arica fand ich das steingrau auch interessant, es löste sich mittags mmer allmählich auf;-) Iquique und vor allem Tocopilla wirkten dagegen trostlos und heruntergekommen- man kommt aus der superklaren Luft der Atacama herunter in die Camanchaca-Suppe...
