We did- it showed snow showers clearing... Well, the snow stopped but the clouds didn't clear fast enough;-)

Well, it may not be the aurora borealis, but it is still wonderful light. I love all theses tripods on the icy blocks - so incongruous, and can imagine the conversation. :)

Thanks a lot, Amelia! It wasn't easy to find a spot for the tripod- good thing they have spikes, too- essential in icy conditions! It's always funny when a group of photographers are around;-)
