The rose claiming back the romantic beauty of the place, against the crude garish ugly wall writings (?)

I quite agree with your point of view about those ugly tags which spoil any romantic place...
whether it be on top of a sacred mountain in the very centre of Seoul, or on le pont des arts in Paris, the same "popupar " tags and padlocks are to be found there...
and yes, the rose did try to "claim back the romantic and natural beauty of the place"
