My wife Roxanne did a solo trek to camp at an oasis near Newberry Springs, CA along historic Route 66 east of Barstow, CA.

The abandoned hotel is the location of the movie Bagdad Cafe.

The room on the left is the one the german woman stays in.

It was probably abandoned at the time of the film and they refurbished the room enough to make it passable.
