Passed into Arizonia via Hwy 62 from our Southern California desert hotels trip. Proceeded up Hwy 95 to find the intersection of three states.

Lake Havasu is basically a 20 mile long widening of the river, created by a dam at the conflunece of the Colorado and the Bill Williams river coming in from Arizona.

After crossing the Bill Williams, the route paralells Lake Havasu, seperated by dramatic black bluffs.

Crossed back into California on I-40 at Topock, CA. Nothing much at Topock except the big Pacific Gas and Electric compressor station on the hill.

Looking down from Topock on the natural gas pipeline bridge that also crosses the Colorado River here. We then spent the night in Needles, CA, which did not merit a photo.

Proceeded north on Needles Highway, then right on Aha Macay Parkway into Nevada. Turned right at the Avi Casino, the southernmost casino in Nevada, and down a dirt road along the Colorado River.
