In the churchyard of St. Giles, The Street, Bowes.
An ancient and often overlooked village straddling a cross Pennine Roman road. Now diverted from the village and relegated to the name of the A66.
Arkengarthdale is situated a few miles to the south of Bowes and is a beautiful area to walk.
