I'm not actually a wildlife photographer, so regard this as a lucky one-off. These cockatoos presented themselves to me on a silver platter (of sorts, it was not really made of silver but full of birdseed to lure them to this place). This shot was taken in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, near Echo Point, from where you have a good view of the Three Sisters, that famous rock formation. Found this on a dead tree stump in the woods near my home. There's a colour version as well. www.flickr.com/photos/barefoot-images/6442802493/in/pool-... Please leave a comment which one you like better. This image was created with the help of silver efex pro, overexposed mode (the best one for the "eye") and some fiddling with contrast and structure. Seen in "Hamburger Bahnhof", Berlin, a former train station and now a museum of contemporary art, quite close to the new central station. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Warhol Copyright © Baerbel A Rautenberg (BARefoot images). A glorious Sunday that deserves its name - as if it had never rained. Took this picture inside the schoolhouse of the lost village of Tyneham. Of course I had to carry a tripod, so all the other visitors thought I was a pro and did everything to keep out of my way. Was it wicked of me not to clarify that error?

Ypnasted is a tiny little fishing village on the east coast of Bornholm, overlooked by most visitors to the island, as it is not featured in tourist guides, it lies at the end of a cul-de-sac and is not signposted, except for a streetsign. It is situated off the coast road between Saltuna and Bølshavn. Copyright © Baerbel A Rautenberg (BARefoot images). All rights reserved. Another one of those unique Bornholm weather vanes, this time in the village of Bodilsker, and of course it once belonged to the local smithy, which today houses a bicycle repair shop. To some these are just ugly silos in the fishing port of Nexø, Bornholm, to me they are a remarkable example of industrial design and aesthetics. Especially in the clear nordic light of an October afternoon they make an awesome sight. Copyright © Baerbel A Rautenberg (BARefoot images). All rights reserved.
