Freshford railway station was opened in 1857. It used to have a pretty flower garden but Network Rail sent men armed with strimmers to attack it. So I present a picture of a pretty passenger instead.

This footbridge connects Widcombe with Bath city centre. The first footbridge was made of wood and erected in 1863. It collapsed spectacularly in June, 1877 and eight people died. The bridge is now toll-free.
