Thank you, raingirl, so nice to have your comment. Descriptions are like donuts, eat them, enjoy them, and forget them. Beyond that there is nothing you must do!
I have spelt 'donut' your way out of politeness, but do not take this as an indication your country has got it right. Emphatically not.

Oh, so I suppose you think the correct spelling of those wiggly things in the water that people catch with long poles is: Ghoti - haha.

Politeness is always a good thing, but when it comes to 'doughnuts' I think all bets are off! haha.

Fish is one thing. Dough is another. What do bakers in the U.S. mix to make bread? Is it 'dough' or 'do'? I do think we need to take some care. Or maybe I dough think we do. Doh!
