What place could be better to test a Nikkor-H 50mm f/2 lens made in 1971 than a dark and dingy shed full of clutter, infested by spiders, and possibly home to a family of mice?
ISO 3200 on Nikon D700. Lens at f/4; shutter 1/60th. No flash, just available light from a door left ajar.

I like the dark ( negative space is it called?) that occupies half the frame, creating such strong contrast to the subject.
