You flatter me.
If there is a community in Smugmug, I haven't discovered it yet. But communities like flickr ('Great capture! Look at my stuff!') I can do without. Smugmug is album oriented; this site - like flickr - is chronological in character. Successive additions inevitably mean earlier output is largely eclipsed. Maybe that fits in with our short attention span lifestyle. I don't know why Smugmug bought flickr; I guess they got it for next to nothing. Oath did nothing with it save for making the contributors into a commodity for exploitation - that's why I left. I still like ipernity. It has an attractive and restrained style of presentation and some intelligent and talented members; erudite, even. They are offering a half price renewal deal for lapsed members like me. I might take it up.
