The wires create some tension, I think with the verticals. If they weren't there, there'd only be one partial diagonal. But I'm keen on wires, as you may have gathered. The photo would be excellent without the wires, but I like it even more with them.

I do like the way England seems to be a place of signs with missing letters. It could become a photographic genre! But I expect someone has done it already. Maybe it would work as a poem...

England's certainly a place of signs with beautiful letters. The elegance of the fonts you see on English signs is stunning. The letters here are not meant to impress, but they are still elegant and pleasing.
