Photo Montage

I briefly owned a Nikon FE. It is one of the few Nikon SLR cameras which can mount almost any Nikkor, including pre-Ai, although the modern 'G' lenses are no use because they lack an aperture ring.
I liked to use it with a Nikkor Type C 55mm f/3.5 Micro-PC Auto lens manufactured between 1973 and 1975. As it is a pre-Ai lens, the little flap on the lens throat of the FE has to be lifted prior to fitting the lens.
It was exciting to collect the prints, which I guess are digitised anyway these days by the processor. They don't seem to be treated with indifference bordering on contempt as in the pre-digital days, but maybe I was just lucky.
It is an expensive way to follow photography. I sold both the camera and the lens in the end.
