Well, they can be flash, can't they? They are nearly all-powerful critters, if not all that bright, really. I mean once they've killed us all...what? Are they all gonna go vegetarian? Not to say vegan... :-)

(PS. These days I tend to emphasize the sanity bit because there is real madness out there. And is as contagious as any old virus, and in some ways more lethal.)
