With a population of over 50,000, Larnaca is one of the largest cities in Cyprus.

Pomegranates thrive in the heart of Larnaca thanks to the mild climate. Likely originating in Persia and Mesopotamia, they have been cultivated in the Mediterranean region since ancient times. The Romans called the fruit "malum punicum," meaning Punic apple.
