Dortmund - Museum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte

The Museum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte (Museum of Art and Cultural History) is currently located in an Art Deco building which was formerly the Dortmund Savings Bank, erected in 1924.

The collection ranges from prehistoric and early history to the 20th century.


In 1922, the remains of a 7th-century grave were discovered. The deceased must have been a high-ranking man, as he was buried with his weapons.
