Hoveringham - St Michael

Hoveringham - St Michael
Hoveringham is mentioned in the in the Domesday Book (1086). Sir Richard Gousehill, who was killed at the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403, was then lord of the manor of Hoveringham.

There has been a church here since the 13th century - at least. Today's church was rebuilt using old materials in the 19th century.
