Sieverstedt - St. Peter
Sieverstedt in its present form is still a fairly young municipality. It was newly formed in 1971 from several smaller villages.
St. Peter stands in the old village of Stenderup, known as "Stenthorp" as early as 1196. In 1100, a century earlier, the church was built of fieldstone in the Romanesque architectural style. The wooden bell tower ("Glockenstapel"), however, is much younger.
Unfortunately the church was locked.
