Leutesdorf - St. Laurentius

Leutesdorf - St. Laurentius
Wine is produced in and around Leutersdorf since many centuries. Venantius Fortunatus (530 – 610), one of the last Latin poets mentions the vinyards in his poem "De navigio suo", describing Merovingian King Childebert´s travel from Metz to Andernach.

St. Laurentius, located in the center of the small town, was erected 1727 - 1730. The predeceeding church was Romanesque, the tower of this church "survived".
