Vienne-en-Bessin - Saint-Pierre

When the erection of that massive tower was started within the 11th century, the place belonged to the "Jumièges Abbey", one of the most important abbeys in Northern France at that time. The brickwork of oldest walls of Saint-Pierre are done in "opus spicatum" ("herringbone-pattern").
