Sumi-e (Japanese ink and brush painting). The kanji 酒仙 , 'shiyusen', means philosophical drinker. Now shiyusen is often translated as 'heavy drinker' -but I prefer 'philosophical drinker', don't you? :-)

The two kanji that are combined to say this are 'sake' and 'mountain man', -or 'hermit'.
By the way: Many of my Japanese friends believe I painted this as a self portrait. ;-)
