Hum, looking out the window, a wee bit of snow on my outside deck. Don't think we'll be sipping beers or colas there before May or maybe June.

47 inches of snow on the ground. Ran into a wee bit of trouble last week. After mostly clearing snow of the 1/4 mile trail to my rivershop, I started a run down it on my Kawasaki mule. The winch cable, lifting the snow plow broke. I had to back up the twisty trail, dragging my plow, Back here at the house I used a rope and a comalong to lift and hold the plow up, and drove down to the rivershop , cut off the bad section of the steel cable, reattached the hook on the end and... all's well now. Hey, just another day in Paradise. -grin-

10:23 a.m., this Christmas morning, up here on top of the world, North Pole, Alaska. Sunrise today, by the way, is 10:58.

I drove out to North Pole, well before dawn today (Sunrise was at 10:58 a.m.) to check my mail at the post office.
