I 'm not afraid of the road
Will see, we've got to taste
Meander in the hollow of kidney
And everything will be fine (there)
The wind will carry us
Your message to Ursa Major
And the path of the stroke
A snapshot of velvet
Even if it is useless (go)
The wind will carry
All will disappear
The wind will carry us
The caress and the grapeshot
This plague that tugs us
The palace of the other days
Yesterday and tomorrow
The wind will carry
Genetics shoulder
Chromosomes in the atmosphere
Taxis for galaxies
And my flying carpet saying?
The wind will carry
All will disappear
The wind will carry us
This perfume of our dead years
Which may knock on your door
Infinity of destinies
We pose one and what we retains of that?
The wind will carry
While the tide
Let everyone again do accounts
I take in the hollow of my shadow
Dust of you
The wind will carry
All will disappear
The wind will carry us

We passed the check point Charlie
To see the east .
There it was a strange atmosphere
Like a Sunday
Very few people in the street
Was it Sunday ?
Don’t remember
Went in a bar
To see what the girls look like
The only girls we knew was the east German swimmers
The only girl was the waitress
Trying to smile
No answer …..
We visited the museum
And met Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
I don’t know why I didn’t do any picture
Then we returned to the west
And decided to go back in France
During three days we had no sleep
The feast was ended….
We were three young men
Bad kids in reality
Passing through the steel curtain
Proud to be free
On the road back
At the border between east and west
The cop of east
Seeing our insolent faces
Decided to stop us
Four long hours in the post
He was trying to find drugs
We were stupid but not so
Nothing in the hands , nothing in the pockets
All in the head !!!
My friend T…… exceeded seeing that the customs
Found nothing to keep us
Speaking German said to him
“Tschüss nextes Jahr du wirst Arbeitslos”
“ Bye bye next year you become unemployed”
Yes freedom of the west is not for free.
A year later we heard that the steel curtain
Was becoming porous
And then we heard the fantastic noise of the breaking wall
This wall knew nothing about your strength M…. !!!

I went off with my fists in my torn pockets;
My overcoat too was becoming ideal;
I travelled beneath the sky, Muse! and I was your vassal;
Oh dear me! what marvellous loves I dreamed of!
My only pair of breeches had a big whole in them.
– Stargazing Tom Thumb, I sowed rhymes along my way.
My tavern was at the Sign of the Great Bear.
– The stars in the sky rustled softly.
And I listened to them, sitting on the road-sides
On those pleasant September evenings while I felt drops
Of dew on my forehead like vigorous wine;
And while, rhyming among the fantastical shadows,
I plucked like the strings of a lyre the elastics
Of my tattered boots, one foot close to my heart!
