The snow has only just gone here so there are still no garden flowers. This is an indoor plant. The flower only lasted two days but it was nice while it lasted.

Having lived in the State of Florida for over 30 yrs, I'm quite familiar with these beauties. Had many in our yard, but here in North Carolina - they would not live outside -- and if I brought one inside -- that would be the kiss of death ...even cacti won't live inside --

Hi Peggy, thanks for your comments. This one lives indoors all winter and goes out for the summer, but I admit that it often looks very sorry for itself for a while after it's moved. Funnily enough, it only rarely flowers outside. Its over-sized bright red flowers do cheer up a dreary winter.
