Sunday 25 September 2022 – Showbus 50 Rally, Hertfordshire County Showground Johnson’s Brothers (Tours) Limited of Worksop had a selection of vehicles on display at Showbus. GAL 967, a Duple Vista body (May 1952) on a Bedford OWB (March 1944) chassis. Originally new to W. Gash & Son with a bus body Note the truck in the background owned by Johnson’s that contains artwork depicting the company’s old vehicles including GAL 967 level with the cab window. Above that are two other vehicles that also attended the rally today. On the left is 5188 RU (1963 Plaxton bodied Bedford VAL) and LHE 601W (1981 Plaxton Supreme bodied Volvo B58).

Sunday 25 September 2022 – Showbus 50 Rally, Hertfordshire County Showground Johnson’s Brothers (Tours) Limited of Worksop had a selection of vehicles on display at Showbus. These two carried Dukeries Coaches as a fleetname. 5188 RU, a Plaxton bodied Bedford VAL new to Excelsior Motorways, Bournemouth in June 1963 GAL 967, a Duple Vista body (May 1952) on a Bedford OWB (March 1944) chassis. Originally new to W. Gash & Son with a bus body

Gash & Son with a bus body 5188 RU, a Plaxton bodied Bedford VAL new to Excelsior Motorways, Bournemouth in June 1963 LHE 601W, a Plaxton Supreme IV bodied Volvo B58 new to Johnson’s in May 1981 The green double decker (YN55 NGZ) is from their subsidiary Redfern Travel (Mansfield) Limited and is an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD which had been new to Nottingham City Transport in September 2005.
