Beautiful capture ..

Melaleuca quinqueneria bark is used in Florida for mulch as it has become an invasive tree.
They can live for over 100 yrs (per Wikipedia).
Some 40 yr old trees have trunks 2.7m (9 feet) in circumference..

We used to go over to the Agriculture Dept and pick up a load of mulch yearly.

There are many melaleuca species and our pictured is not the one you mention. You never know what the effect is of taking a tree out of its native environment. I'm glad it makes good mulch.
