EDIT: reading the comments I am falling over again...but perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. As Rosalyn so aptly put it, there are morons everywhere. The pandemic really made a point on this, didn't it. Until then, my husband and I were aware of the high number of idiots everywhere, but then the pandemic hit and suddenly we couldn't hide from the actual truth: seems that there are more idiots out there than we ever imagined. It's so embarrassing that our world is overrun by fools. :(

And sadly not only in England, Peter. It's true, this is really a huge amount of rubbish, but even here, in our countryside you can find all kind of stuff in the ditches by the roads. I regularly take a bag, collect it and then take it to the dumpster.

A detestable practice. Even in my island there are unconscious people who practice it. They get caught because on the boxes there are their names. Fortunately, there are associations that fight against illegal dumping with founding members of elected municipal officials and sworn police officers who can draw up a report.
