Kinwarton Dovecote an example of 14th century factory farming it has 580 nesting holes enclosed by a metre thick wall it features a rotating ladder so all the nest holes could be reached to collect the Squabs (young birds). Only the Lord of the Manor was allowed to build or own a dovecote which caused much unrest as of course the pigeons ate the tenants crops.

A lot of effort went into building it, I read that they caused unrest in France because of the birds eating the crops,it was cool here also :((
