Born late March 1919 and died 7th January 2019, after a short illness.

Was 99 on 23rd March 2018 ... in 2015 he travelled to a reunion for Hunslet Engine Co staff held at the Middleton Railway; at 96 he was the oldest person
there - he had served an apprenticeship there as a toolmaker, although spending time in most parts of their workshops in Jack Lane.
In previous years he has travelled around the world in order to attend many events, such as the annual International Esperanto Congress (these are held in a different country each year - for example, in 2008 the Kongresso was hosted in Bialystok, Poland - pictures to follow after scanning.)
