mrg - Middleton Railway Gala

Hunslet 150 Gala - 18/19th July 2015. On the Friday before the Gala Weekend (17th July 2015) the Middleton Railway organised a reunion for Hunslet Engine Co employees. The oldest person attending had travelled from North Wales. He had started his apprenticeship in 1933 at the tender age of 14. Part of the event was a visit to the original works site, which had some 2ft gauge track laid for Trangkil No4 and Irish Mail to run along, as well as trips along the Balm Road Branch and to Park Halt. Some images are from the Saturday.
