Stanegate Restorations have agreed to offer a part-time placement to another trainee, on a similar scheme to the EHSI.

The first task was to assist with work on the Forcett Coach, including re-installing the brake box / cover.

The second project has been to assist with NSR127 - the first real challenge has been to build a set of eight droplights for NSR 127, and after maching timber, the work progressed to the test assembly stage. The glass has now arrived, and final assembly can begin.

The third project (cancelled) will be to construct the missing dark slide for the wass camera - see Victorian Plate Camera set. Some suitable mahogany will be made available, but most of the work will be postponed, as the carriage doors and droplights will be required before the camera.

Ashleigh's fourth project is to build a set of eight doors for NSR 127, starting with machining the sections. Some of these are complicated - others, less so.

A few extra images will be added in due course, but as the trainee has made a significant number of serious errors and walked out of the scheme early rather than discuss solutions; the work will have to be finished by others on the staff.
