bmc - Ben-my-Chree [1998 - 2023]

One of the Isle of Man Steam Packet ferries. MS Ben-my-Chree was built in 1998 and operated on the Douglas - Heysham service.
In Manx her name means "girl of my heart" - I get the feeling that many of her crew like the ship, despite her tendency to roll is a cross-wind ! Although, it has to be said that she has been showing signs of her age in recent years, despite various refits and improvements.
Due to be supplanted by the Manxman in late 2023. Officially, Ben became the stand-by vessel on 17 August 2023, for duty in busy periods or when Manxman is indisposed.
I understand that Ben-my-Chree went to Belfast to be laid up at the end of October 2023, but is back at Douglas now [Jan ? 2024]
