oaw[A] - greenhouse toad {1 of 2}
This little fella was scampering around in my "new" greenhouse. [e2a - the dimple underneath is about 25mm / 1" square - so quite well grown]. I found him or her when shuffling some pots around, so I used this plastic box as a protection / rescue facility while I set up the ridge tile, etc.
I wondered why the fly count was so low.
He's been provided with shelter [an old ridge tile], a dish with stones & water and will shortly have a small log or three under the tile.
Back in the days of my old, wooden greenhouse I had a resident adult toad for several years. S/he had a choice of a ridge tile or a couple of clay drainage pipes, and a wood pile just outside.
