Looking towards "The Crossing Cafe" at Alston [South Tynedale Railway], formerly "Hickens'" and in 2025 the new operators are the Wooleys.
We've been a few times and enjoyed our food and coffees immensely. [continues to be very dog & cyclist friendly]
Weather was crisp, still with some inches of snow and no trains today.

Thanks, Oh yes, the cafe was warm ... I had a baked potato topped with their home-made beef chilli, a mild version, I'm pleased to say.
