oaw[A] - Toad C {7 of 19 - 09:Oct:2023}

Toad C, standing tall ! - more of a toadlet, as s/he is just a smidgeon over 1" [25mm] from the tip of the nose to the blunt end. Note warty skin and dull colouration. Another visitor via the log pile by the back door. Probably one of this spring's spawn.

This is one of a sequence of 19 images, but a lot are blurred by the toadlet moving, often quite suddenly as s/he was a lively individual. Safely released back into the wild wood, next to one of the stick piles, not far from the pond.
