whn - monstrosity

whn - monstrosity
Late spring and the sand tide used to go out, what I'm not sure of is how much the new launching ramp - this steel & concrete monstrosity on the right - will affect the sand level on the outer harbour beach.
This area is prime dog exercising territory, at times there can be more dogs than people on the sands, but it is always busy !

This "thing" is part of a new development - a water sports facility. Main building is still under construction, with the launching ramp completed months ago.

One of my worries is the safety provision[s] training in water sports can be dangerous, the sea is very unforgiving - Whitehaven is covered by lifeboats from St Bees and Workington.
Another is that the council will probably close the beach to walkers and dogs [the local council seems to be somewhat anti-dog in a number of ways]
