Sad to see some litter ... at the base of the keep / west curtain wall [This is thought to be a modern - 19th century - rebuild, as the stones are not laid in the way they would have been in the 11th or 12th centuries].
One of the grounds staff was litter-picking and I added this to his "recyclable" bag.

There were bins in various places around the site, next to some seats & at the entrance point !
I suppose it could have been dropped accidentally, except that there were also some empty snack wrappers a short distance away, and signs that someone had been sitting on the grass recently.
