Three "Stationary Engines" - from this side ...
a) Robey - single cylinder Uniflow No. 40622 . Used at Cambridge University for power testing, which is why there are so many ropes on the flywheel.
b) Belliss & Morcom [blue] [information with separate images]
c) Marshall - EngineNo. 52483 - 16hp, built 1909. Used to drive overhead shafts to power fruit-crushers at Tiptree Jam Factory. The large flywheel serves to even out the power supplied through the shafts and belts. Bought for £450 in 1972 via a magazine advert !
