gdn / wpd[21] - "wild" mimulus flowers
Mimulus flowers - showing the spots.
A few years ago I grew some Mimulus cultivars in the main garden. Subsequently, a few plants have volunteered in various places. Often known as Monkey flowers, these are naturalised as Mimulus guttatus, as they have red spots not the blotches seen in M.lutens.
Taken for World Photography Day 2021. Although I like the detail in the flowers, I considered the background too busy.
