When our boys were small, 35+ years ago, we had an illustrated book about the adventures of Colonel Chuff*. He was a car with a large droopy moustache and possibly a monocle. I imagine that he was based on this or a similar model! Thanks for the memory!
* I am fairly sure that was his name.
