NER70 - floor 2

The section of horsehair felt has been lifted to show the the lower layer of floor planks.

These are not conventional 'tongue and groove' instead, they are all grooved, and false tongues - made from iron (or steel?) hold them together. This has expanded as it has rusted, and burst open the grooves.
