Canada geese

Yes I think like swans they gather and feed until they are ready to go, they all look really healthy.

Wow that is a large gathering of geese. Soon I suppose we'll be seeing those amazing "V" shapes in the sky.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! So amazing!!! Look at them all!!! Migration flocks are simply incredible to see, aren't they? Thank you for sharing this with us...I just loved it.

I also wanted to say thank you for coming by to visit my last picture(s) while I was away on my vacation without a chance to reciprocate. It was wonderful to get your response and attention, and meant a lot for me to be able to read comments if I had any internet connection at all. Thanks for making me feel so cared-about! Wonderful capture. They sometimes winter here and can they ever make a mess of the docks and grassy areas by the lake.
