Caroline hat so ein wunderschönes Gesicht... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Orang Utan lady Caroline has such a beautiful face...

Caroline is my favourite orang-utan at Wilhelma (Stuttgart, Germany). I have little opportunity to take pictures like this, because most times she sees me she is at the window to the visitor's area sooner than I can shoot. :-)

Wunderschöne Caroline... Ich könnte sie stundenlang anschauen. Dieses Lächeln, dieser Blick... Beautiful Caroline... I could watch her for hours. Her smile, the way she looks...

Bei unserem letzten morgendlichen Blickwechsel hat Caroline mich ungeniert angegähnt. :-D

Diese langen Nägel - ob Caroline die am Holz abwetzen will?

Am Wilhelmatag (20. 9. 2009) gab es einen Stand, wo Besucher für die Affen Päckchen mit Holzwolle, Nüssen, Rosinen und Popcorn packen konnten. So, wie das, was Caroline hier auspackt, aussieht, könnte es noch von dieser Aktion stammen. :-)

Nein, das sind nicht die Jungen aus der Zuchtgruppe, das sind die Alten aus dem "Seniorenheim"... :-D

Caroline hat alle erreichbaren Schläuche zu einem kunstvollen Knoten verarbeitet. Als sie mich sah, hat sie - wie es aussah - erst überlegt, ob sie zu mir an die Scheibe kommen will, aber schließlich hat sie den Knoten für mich im Stich gelassen. :'-) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caroline has tied all hoses within her reach into a knot. When she saw me, she - or so it looked - had to think about whether she really wanted to come to me, but in the end, she came. :'-)
