Nel parco del Castello Reale di Racconigi, il pregevole complesso rurale cosiddetto della Margarìa, cascina, si fa per dire, in stile neogotico progettata dal Palagi e precursore delle moderne aziende biologiche. Ubicata all'estremità nordoccidentale del parco, essa è caratterizzata dall'integrale rivestimento in mattoni e l'ampio portico interno. Nella torre di destra del prospetto principale della Margarìa è conservato il Reposoir della Regina, contenente arredi in stile neogotico di Gabriele Capello. All'interno del complesso della Margarìa sorge anche l'elegante struttura delle Serre Reali, opera di Carlo Sada, con un sistema di riscaldamento all'avanguardia per l'epoca (vedere nota).
